Department actively joins career guidance work among the youth. Our teachers take part as juries in regional and All-Ukrainian School Olympiads, The Tournament of Young Biologists. There are supervisors of the Contest-presentation of scientific research projects (Junior Academy of Science of Ukraine) and the All-Ukrainian Ecoprojects Contest among our teachers. We often provide excursions in the Department during the Summer Subject Schools, I. Machnikov Chemistry-Biology Tournament, The Night of The Science, and other popular science events. The Department's lecturers teach in Teachers of the department teach in biological circles, which contributes to the recruitment of applicants to the School of Biology of our University. 

The courses "The factors of successful employment in the specialty" and "Career Management" are taught in the Department. The representatives of different Ukrainian and International companies become the guests of these classes.  Students have the opportunity to perform in the main areas of employment in the specialty and start their careers. The course is designed to teach future professionals to properly look for vacancies, write resumes, cover and motivation letters, and behave properly in interviews.

The talented students are invited to become postgraduate students after the master's degree education level.
