Our scientists go on numerous expeditions to different parts of the Kharkiv region and Ukraine during the vegetation season. There are not only our employees' expeditions photos on this page, but you can also get acquainted with the main scientific directions of our Department here.
We research the plant cover of the oak forests, pineries, meadows, swamps, wetlands, coastal, and synanthropic biotopes, chalk outcrops, etc. One of the main goals of our research focused on the rare flora fraction and monitoring of the rare plant species populations. Besides, we investigate different aspects of the lichens: floristic, bioindication, and sozological research, etc. We regularly involve students in expeditions, so they are also becoming an important part of the field research of the Department.

Our student and Senior Laboratory assistant Herhii Bondarenko researched the "Vovchanskii" State Botanical Reserve flora as a part of his master's degree thesis. He made several expeditions over two years.

Our student and Senior Laboratory assistant Herhii Bondarenko researched the chalk outcrops flora near the Ohirtseve village. He made 6 expeditions there.

The research of the projected Botanical Reserve "Vovchi Vody" flora. This territory was researched for Heorhii Bondarenko's bachelor's degree thesis. He made more than 20 expeditions there from 2018 to 2021.
